Job Description
Caramel Tech Studios is looking for a young and passionate Associate META Game Designer to be a part of the in-house creative Design team. You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the top creative and analytical talent in the local mobile gaming industry. We are focusing on titles for Casual and Mid/Hard-core audiences for mobile and tablet platforms.

What you will do everyday:
- Work directly with the Game Designer and learn what it takes to make a great game.
- Deconstruct and analyze the mechanics and systems in current mobile titles.
- Produce and update design specs, balance spreadsheets, and other game documentation in accordance with each projects' goals.
- Work with the design team to review specs, improve the design process, and make game design an overall stronger pillar of the company.
- Observe and analyze user testing, and recommend design solutions.
- Recognize and stay current with game design trends, patterns, and consumer preferences.
Required Skills
- Passion! Passion for making and playing games, and the desire to change the face of this awesome industry!
- Strong in mathematics and statistics.
- Understanding of games.
- Good knowledge of game mechanics - know what's out there, what's working, what isn't, and how to improve them.
- Ability to learn from existing state-of-the-art game systems, economies and features.
- Ability to pitch game concepts clearly and effectively.
- Team player - everyone contributes ideas and we are an ego-free group.
- Ability to adjust quickly to a rapidly shifting, fast-paced creative environment.
- Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, collaborate and excel in small team environment.
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Degree in Mathematics.
- Degree in Statistics.
- Investment Banking background with a passion for games.
- Degree in Engineering.
- Non-design development experience, such as art, programming, etc.
- Knowledge of mobile technology - its boundaries and unique potential as it applies to games.
- Good command over written English.
